JDElite Data Modeler’s Playground Mode gives you access to most features, allowing you to create and edit your diagrams, as well as you can open and edit the different templates. However, file system access is restricted, meaning you cannot save diagrams or import/export SQL scripts.
For a limited time, we’re offering free installation of the File Browser module, which enables full file system access on Windows. Follow these steps to install it:
- 1. Install node.js:
- If you don’t have it already, download it from https://nodejs.org/en/download and install it.
2. Download JDElite Data Modeler:
- Download jdelite.exe and save it in a new empty folder (e.g. jdelite).
- Accept any Windows security prompts.
3. Run JDElite
- Double-click the .exe file (or pin it to your taskbar for easy access).
- A terminal window will open — keep it open while using the app.
4. Close JDElite properly:
- Use the Shutdown button in the top-left of the app to close both the browser tab and server:
OPTIONAL: Download sample database scripts for testing: database-scripts.
Save them on the same drive partition where jdelite.exe was installed.
